4 Riders killed locally

Four local riders were killed Saturday night when they were hit by a vehicle trying to pass another vehicle. I knew one of the riders, he used to be our custodian for the high school. His daughter was a cheerleader and on homecoming court back in the mid 90's.

Please keep all 4 families in your prayers.

That is just so,so sad. :'(
I just can't imagine how this could happen. Unless the truck driver was either under the influence or just total disregard for the cyclist.I hope you'll post the investigation results Coach.

My prayers are certainly for the families of the cyclist & the lady who was in the passed vehicle. I'm sure she must be traumatized from all that happened. :(

What a total waste of 4 lives. This is getting to the point of stupidity of drivers. One of the comments after the article shows the stupidity of people. It basically states that we need our head examined??? Idiot!

Its such a tragedy when things like this happen, especially for as poor reason as this.

Another needless waste of lives. It never ends because any idiot can get a drivers license. We just had a Marine, who had just returned from Iraq, killed by a wrong-way driver on I-20 just west of Atlanta.

My prayers and condolences go out to the families and friends of those killed.

It's people like "Spittin in the Wind" that causes these kinds of "accidents?". They're the ones who need their heads examined. We're just living our lives.

Bob, the young Marine lived just up the road from me. I mean an hour ride but that is still up the road. He was from Huntsville, AL.
