Baffle Removal
Hi Everyone
This forum is very addicting, informative, and sometimes entertaining :). I was reading an old thread in this forum about gutting the stock mufflers. I was looking for info on adding a fuel processor after you do this mod -- equivelent of re-jetting a carbed engine. Is this necessary? My thinking is, if you should richen the mixture for this procedure, would adding a resistor to the air temp sensor do the same thing? Waiting for the snow to melt :-[ Terbear The only compalint I have about the Nomad is that it is to quiet Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Welcome to the forum Terbear. check out BD's garage (another forum here), and do a search. You'll find everything you need to know there. A quick answer is no, you don't have to do it. The better answer is yes, you'll want to. If you add the resistor, you won't need the fuel processor.

Baffle Removal
My bike is strictly stock except for the bafflectomy BD sugested. It runs just as good now as it did before. Maybe a little better. Now it sounds a lot better though

Nicely done Wolfman.
Great jod as Chief Archivist Historian. I think you should hit Trip up for a raise....maybe even an additional 30% or so! ;)

if your looking for some ROAR in the sound of your pipes then buy new pipes, if you want a soft thump do the bafflectomy. V&H are a nice choice and you wont be sorry.

Terbear...like TC...mine is stock except the removal of the "silencer" from the stock pipes. It's a pretty easy removal process and it will make a difference in the sound. Best part is the cost... next to nothing!! I didn't have to add anything to it afterwards. I would suggest giving that a shot first and if you're not satisfied, then move to spending the $$ to get your desired effect.
