xgringo finally got his Nomad

Hi Gang!!
Well I finally got my Nomad delivered today. Since I haven't ridden in over thirty years I figured let them deliver it. So I spent most of today working on my low speed maneuvers and riding around town. It all just feels so familiar that I'll be up to speed in no time.

The bike itself is awesome. It just feels so powerful and light to handle. It's a black 2008. I let fate decide whether or not to get an 08 or 09 because I could have agonized for the next century over it. They are doing great deals on the 08s so I figured if the dealer can find me a black 08 I'll go for it. If not, then a black 09.
Hasta Luego
Tom

Congratulations Tom! You're going to love the Nomad. I too hadn't owned my own bike for over 30 years when I got my 06 Nomad. As the others have said, take it slow and practice, practice, practice. Especially on the low speed stuff. That's the hardest but before long you will be a pro.

You did good. Either way you win. My buddy just got his. He went with the 08 because of the great deals they have going on right now. I started riding again 2 years ago after 25 years of no riding and I took a riding class. Best money I spent next to the price of my bike and chrome accessories. Be safe out there and watch out for cagers.

Congrats Tom. You'll continually love this bike. Not much to dislike either. Take your time and enjoy your rides.

Congratulations on the new bike, they are heavy and take a bit of getting used to, but they are the best.

Welcome and congrats on the bike. You might consider one of the advanced MSF courses for a good refresher, some people swear by them. Costs a little money and time, but can be fun, challenging and rewarding.

congrats on the bike. That's they same reason I just went with my 08. It's no where near as nimble as my 750 vulcan but man it's a great ride... Enjoy and be carefull out there!
