Took a 164 mile round trip ride to Jefferson Island. Ate lunch at the Jefferson Cafe and toured Rip Van Winkle Gardens and the 1870 circa Jefferson Home. Walked the banks of Lake Peigneur which was transformed from a 6' deep freshwater lake to a 300' deep saltwater lake in 1980 when a Texaco drilling rig punched a 14" hole into the roof of the 1500' deep Diamond Crystal salt mine below. Miraculously, none of the drillers or the 55 miners were injured during this 3 day catastrophe. A very interesting place to visit. Beautiful bed and breakfast cottages which were once the servant quarters.

I had many things to do today, but I did manage a "freeway loop" around the east valley. About 75 miles.

Went to Port Dover, Ontario, for fish and chips. The last ride of the season, the bike goes in storage next weekend.

Rode to my brother's house and back. Ride home was a little chilly. 120 miles round trip. Saw a deer along side the road.

Rode about 200 miles over the weekend. Bit chilly but fun nonetheless. Someone remind me to get so me good gloves by spring. :) Probably the last ride of the year. Time to drain the gas and start tearing it down. (No fixes, just "improvements".)

BRP and then some

Rode out to Boone Saturday morning. With no place in particular to go my buddy Tim and I decided hay lets go do the dragon.. Yeh like I need much arm twisting. Jumped on the BRP rode to Maggie Valley got a room wrong time of year.. Leaf lookers really run up the price ouch that hurt.. Sunday woke up to 30 degrees brrrr.. Pushed the bikes out into the morning sun to melt off the frost. By 9 am we are off. I got to tell ya between the colors the frost and the mountains it is the best damn ridding ever.. The dragon what can I say. I have been looking forward to this for over 11 years I was not let down..
Sunday was riding riding and more riding 11 1/2 hours in the saddle. Two days around 950 miles. Monday morning was a bit tough at 4am to get going..

I saw snow , ice , water , twistes , looker trafic jambs , some great fall colors , woodland critters , dogs in side cars , everything
butt I aint never had to much fun.
