Did You Ride Today? Where To and How Far?

Didn't ride all week because of all the rain. Left work early and took the long way home. What should have been a 5 mile ride turned into 50 miles.

Did You Ride Today? Where To and How Far?

Had to go and pay the electric and water bills and fill up the bike. Added an additional 5 miles. Had ridden 123.6 miles and it took 3.311 gallons to fill it up. 37. something miles per gallon. Most of the riding was yesterdays trip up near Huntsville, AL. Did have some short trip also. Without the short trips it would probably have gotten 40 MPGs.

Did You Ride Today? Where To and How Far?

Will be riding today in remembrance of Chuck Burt and of all the Victims of the 9/11 Twin Towers Attack.

Leaving Lake Travis,Texas and heading south thru the hill country to Johnson City,Texas after a brief stop here its on to

Fredricksberg,Texas for lunch at Auslanders.

After lunch we will be going to Luckenbach,Texas thats where
"(Everybody is somebody in luckenbach)"

Chuck Burt vroc # 13091 was someone I did not get the chance to meet, but only thru local riders, and posted sites KawaNow, Vroc, Kawasaski Delphi Forums, and TX Vroc who shared their own stories of Chuck. =r=

Life is too short we are only here a millisecond
Live each day as if its your last.

Ok just rolled in and its 3:10 pm and we lucked out and its only 101 degrees. Check out the TX VROC site for photos of the Chuck Burt Ride in the next few days. Just a great group to ride with. =r=

Did You Ride Today? Where To and How Far?

Yesterday, I rode to Superstition Harley Davidson in Apache Junction, about 70 miles round trip. I just looked around the dealership, which is very large and bought myself a t-shirt. We had a big thunderstorm Friday night which cooled it down in the valley and the weather was very pleasant on the ride.

Didn't ride yesterday so thought I would take a short ride today. Turned out to be only a 6 mile trip. Still enjoyable though.

Did You Ride Today? Where To and How Far?

I joined in an annual event that has been going on for the last 5 years now. A friend and his wife have a motorcycle run they started called the Corn Run. This year being the 5th year they made it a poker run where you pay $10.00 and get a card at 5 prearranged stops along the afternoon long ride. The person with the best hand at the end wins. I think the winner got approx. $250.00. There were 2nd and 3rd place winners as well. Also one for the worst hand. It all ends up at a rural Pub where there is a BBQ dinner waiting for a nominal fee. All proceeds go to the G.F. Strong Rehabilitation Center for people suffering from spinal injuries. We managed to raise almost $1000. if I'm not mistaken. We had approx. 50 bikes attend. I haven't checked the mileage but I'm going to guess at about 100 miles. ????
Here are a couple of pic's as the bikes rolled in to meet and greet before the ride. One at a "butt break"and I had to incl. a great looking Indian that attended as well. A great day!!! for a good cause.

Dave you sound like me. If I need anything and it isn't raining I jump on the bike and go pick it up.

Rode in to work and back today for 18 miles. Then needed to go to the Post Office so hopped on the Nomad and rode 5 miles round trip. Total for the day is 23 miles.
