I had to do some digging to find this thread.

I did get a nice ride in yesterday.
My wife had to work and with temps in the low 60's I decided to ride north into the Boston mountains (part of the Ozarks)
I rode up U.S. 71, the 18 miles from Mountainburg to Winslow is one of my favorites.
I stopped for a few minutes at Artist Point.
Framer, they filled in that oh sh!t dip on the hard right near Mt. Gaylor.

I took Ark 74 and some county roads to get to Sulphur City and Ark 16.
Riding east on 16 over the hills and gentle sweepers thru the small towns of Crosses and Combs to Ark 23.
I headed south on 23 down the Pig Trail. They have the road repaired from the landslide but the surface leaves much to be desired in some areas.
I made the obligatory stop a Turner Bend and had a ham sandwich.
I stayed on 23 south to Booneville and Hwy 10 and headed west to the house.
175 miles.

Crystal and I got a late start this morning but we rode
the long way to Mena. Went through Midland over to Heavener.
We took 59 south to Rich Mountain and 272 up to Talimena Drive.
Then east to Mena and a lunch break. 71 north back to the house.
About 160 miles.

I got out Saturday and did a little bit of riding. I took the madam over to checkout Harmony Hall, which is an old southern plantation, then we rode over to the local Civil War battlefield (www.Averasboro.com) and checked out the museum, battlefield and cemetery. Round trip about 150 miles. Had a good day.

And now back to the damn subject!

I had to go and pick up a prescription for my wife. Checked air in tires and both were low. Once I had the pressure at 41 pounds in each tire and even though it was misting rain I rode and got her medicine. Rode a total of 5 miles and barely beat the rain.

Gerry I do run 41 pounds. They are Dunlop Elite 3s and that is the recommended tire pressure. You can run less but for the best tire life that is the highly recommended pressure.
