Removed my grasshopper backrest so my girl could get close n rode all along the beach on A1A from Sebastian to Cocoa Beach late last night. It's hard to get rid of my grin. I love riding w her on my Nomad. Life is good. Put the grasshopper back on and took the same ride today w my son. Life is good.

Rode up to Huntsville, Al yesterday in plus 100 degree weather. Wow was it a hot ride. 101 miles for the day. Also got 39.55 mpg for the trip.

I went to Home Depot and picked up a couple things for the deck, and kept working here all day.
The painter dropped off some parts that are finished and picked up the fuel tank, so the bike is parked until its finished.

The Missus and I went for a 4th breakfast run. It was hard to find a place open. Rode several new roads on the return trip and stopped for pie too. We found a Texas low water crossing with water in it. These crossings are where the is no bridge, just a concrete surface at the level of the water. There was about eight inches of water across the surface and it was about a 25 yard wide crossing. The exit was uphill and made a 90° right turn. It was slick coming out and the Nomad fish tailed back and forward a couple times. The pucker factor went way up. How we got out without dumping it I do not know.

Ah my old stomping grounds. Originally from the U.P. of Michigan and have crossed that bridge on a bike many times.

We had an odd overcast and cool day (80 degrees all day) here in Arizona due to the monsoons. Couldn't resist and went for a 65 mile cruise and a couple more little 10 mile jaunts later in the day despite the threatening overcast skys. Got a little damp but nothing more than a sprinkle here and there. Very strange to have 80 degrees at noon in July here in the AZ. The sun is back out today and will surely be over 100.

What freaking monsoon? Two drops of rain and it's a monsoon? You people make me laugh. Really. When I heard monsoon, I thought, jeez, some real rain, what a relief! Nope. I will say it was cooler yesterday, but I would have liked an inch of rain.
