Janet has started her rehab and is doing well. The insurance co. is going to total the bike. Janets says she is never riding again. I ain't saying a word - that's a real personal decision. She has a lot to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving

God bless you all
Thanks

Glad she's making progress.

You're right about leaving it be....she may decide later to ride again. Had a friend who rode for years .....his son who also road for years was killed on his m/c (very safe rider....hit by cage with drunk driver behind the wheel) and our friend said at first he would never ride again. ....5-6 months later he changed his mind...he reflected that him and his son had many happy years of riding together and knew how much both enjoyed riding. He felt his son would want him to continue to enjoy the ride.

Glad to hear she is improving. I too had a friend in a bad bike wreck w/injuries. Swore he would never ride again (said that 2 years ago) he bought a new Street Glide this summer and has done some long trips already. He says he is a much more cautious rider and also took the MSF course.

Good to see your friend on her way to recovery! I wouldn't take the not riding part to heart yet. I've seen a cuppala folks talk that way after a wreck only to ride again.

I once bought a pan head from a guy while he was in the hospital right after his wreck. Three days later he was sniveling about it, so I sold it back to him.....

Some of you know Cranky in the NorCal Bay area - he said the same thing after a wreck earlier this year, but was riding as soon he as physically able....

Very true. After a wreck, emotions are pretty strong. Not the best time to make big decisions and expect to stick to them.
After I wrecked in 1978 I sold my bike and said I was done. A few months later my friend let me ride his and I'll admit I was a little nervous. But after enough time goes by, most of us find our way back to 2 wheels.
Will continue to pray for your friend for a full recovery.
