I'm happy that it all worked out for you after all. Let us all know how it runs after the install.

TFI Module Closeout sale !

I ordered mine, the plud and play model from Dobeck. They offer military and veteran discounts, and mine came to $150 plus $7 shipping.

The hard part is pulling the battery on a 1600. Soldering a couple of wires is easy. I added a nylon strap for a back pack to my battery, the first time I got it out. To get it out that first time I looped nylocks thru the battery terminals.

What ever so called engineer came up with this for trash battery box, should be FIRED!

I prefer the solder in type TFI to plug m play... I believe there is less chance for a high resistance voltage drop.. but it's just me right? I wish I could have paid that price..

Very true, but just think of all the service work it generates when people don't want the hassle if doing it themselves...maybe it was not an accident that is is so difficult to get at

I've done 2 1/2 tanks on my tfi now. MPG is 36.8 at 75mph on 85% hiway miles. I ran one tank of 89 octane and a tank of 87. After a 60 miles ride and red light to red light in 80 degree weather today I noticed a slight ping with 87 when I lugged the engine and rolled on the throttle. Before it would have pinged like hell on 93. Overall I'm pleased! Pots are set at 3.5-6.5-1-9
