My Nomad had a whinning noise the first 2 year I owned it, then it quit when she bought her own motorcycle.....

funny whining noise
I had a funny whinning noise when slowing in any gear on a 98 Vulcan 1500 Classic right after I bought it. It almost sounded like a high pitch bomb drop sound, If I didnt have the windshield I probably wouldnt have noticed it before it compounded into a major and out of warranty issue... took it back to the dealer and they ended up replacing the drive shaft and gears. Never heard it again.
