Doing the hospital thing again

Election day is pretty anticlimactic here at the hospital. It's just another day here, no signs that there is an election going on at all. Last week that would have been refreshing!

Election day is supposed to look like something is going on. People and candidates standing at intersections waving, cars crowding polling places etc.

I don't watch TV here, but I'll have to turn it on just to make it feel like an election is going on. But as I said, this would have been a refreshing break last week :) Today I want to feel like something important is happening in the country.

Hey Dan, happy to talk with you to pass the time.

You know the election is like a summer rain storm, You know it's coming but you can't stop it. All you can do is open an umbrella to keep from getting wet.

I hope they figure out what's wrong with you. Passing out at an unfortunate time can be a little inconvenient, like when you're taking a twisty or jumping out of a plane before you pull the rip cord.

I enjoy reading and laid up I would probably catch up on novels that I don't have time to read with all my work related stuff. Take care, make the best of your stay, and I hope they figure out what's ailing you.

Dan,

Try not to bore yourself too much. I know there isn't much to do while in the hospital other than what Joe suggested -- which is a good idea.

As far as Netnorske's suggestion... I would be careful. I know of someone very well that works in a medical facility and "they" are quite "used-to" pranks... and I can tell you... they have a few of their own pranks they can do to those they feel deserve them the most... like men that "leave themselves exposed" on purpose.

You just don't want to go down that road according to them. You may find out how many places rubber gloves can fit.

Doing the hospital thing again

gl, last time I was here they got me even though I didn't do anything to them at all.

I was in the bathroom peeing and they thought that there was something wrong and the door flew open mid stream and three surprised looking women were rushing the door. :)

Tonight is a sleep deprivation night. I woke up at 5:00am and I can't go to sleep till 3:00am, then can only sleep for 3 hours. I've got room service and all, but it's not much of a resort. :)

I'll just keep bugging you guys about my day to day activities here just for entertainment and to pass the time. When your really sick, you don't particularly notice boredom, but when you're just fine and could be out for a ride, it's a lot more boring. Hence, I bug you guys.

My wires only let me go about 12 feet away, so the scenery doesn't change much.

Dan, I wish you all the best and hope they find out the reason for your "black outs".
You're one of the many I wanted to meet at the National this summer, so get well....and soon.

Doing the hospital thing again

Another boring day, most boring yet.

I've slept 2:20 minutes in the last 37 hours. Got bored enough to hunt my adult kids down on Myspace. Holy sh*t! the 20 year old is sure a different kid on there......where they don't think parents go :)

It was the first time I've gone looking.... and my mild mannered, polite, somewhat shy kid is a white, gangsta, hoodlum with way trashy girls posting (I'll delete this soon in case snooping goes both directions :)
