Tank bib for Nomad?

CactusJack,
+1 on Chilowee. After seeing my pant marks on the sides of the tank, I can see where a tank bib is in order. My only reservation is this: "Will water collect underneath it when I wash the bike"? I don't want it to get all nasty under there, especially being so close to The Boys! :-)

Any thoughts on the potential for water collection/damage/rot underneath the bib???

Daryl

I had a bib on my Bouly, when I would wash the bike, I used my leaf blower to get rid of the excess water out of the nooks and crannies. I made sure I blew the water out from underneath the bib.

I'll also use the leaf blower to get the water out of the gap between the windshield and inner windshield on the Nomad. I'll see how that works.

It's just a cheap electric Toro leaf blower I bought on sale at Target for like $25 maybe 7-8 years ago. We now have desert landscaping front and back, so there's no trees or grass clippings to use it on - just drying the bike.

Tank bib for Nomad?

I've had the Chilhowee tank bib for the classic on my Nomad for about 6 months. Fits well. I also got the engine guard chaps. Got the black studs and pockets on all of them. I think they fit and look good.

Thanks for the info! I am really looking forward to receiving mine, but not looking forward to having to remove and remount the Mustang seat.

The woman I spoke with on the phone didn't know if the 1600 Classic bib would fit. I guess I can try and it there's a problem, I can always return it for a refund.

Someone else on another forum gave me this vendor:

These look real good, too.
