Ride off with your keys in your bag lock

Guilty as charged. Rode halfway home from work one day with the keys in the left bag. The key fits pretty snugly. I'd be worried if I left them in my trunk lock, though.

I havent left mine in the saddle bag. However, twice I have negligently left the switch on, and the headlights, while I was shopping inside a store.

Ride off with your keys in your bag lock

Oh man! I did it this past Sunday for the first time. I carry them on a carabiner and my heart went up in my throat when I looked on my belt loop and they weren't there. Lood at the saddlebag and thank god they were hangin there just flappin' in the wind. wheew.

Ride off with your keys in your bag lock

Haven't done that one yet, but the other day, I pulled to the side of the road to offer assistance to a broke down biker (Harley), but he already had help on the way. When I switched on, and tried to start the bike, it wouldn't hit a lick, after a couple of checks and trys, I figured out, "my kick stand was down and in gear". Fliped it up, and it started right up, DUH :-[

VE, good post.... another pointer is if you ever drop your bike while running (you will), it won't start unless you turn the ignition all the way off and back on to re-start..... How's that one????

Yeah, I did it TODAY! Rode Hwy. 101 home from work, got off the bike, and there they were!

Ride off with your keys in your bag lock

Guilty as charged. Last time I forgot them in the bag lock, a cager on the interstate pulled along side and yelled and pointed behind me. Wondered what the heck he was doing? Looked in both mirrors then finally over my shoulder..... Da ! As mentioned its a good thing the key fits in there snug.

Yep, Done that. Riding along, noticed something waving from the corner of my eye, ta-dah the key in the saddlebag lock!

Yepper...done the exact same thing.... and I'm sorry to say, more than once!!! Just trying to do too many damn things at one time I guess.... I've also left them in the bag lock while I was at work. Fortunately for me, I can usually see my Nad from where I sit, so I happened to look out and see them glimmering in the sun!!! LOL! Nice to know I'm not the only one who's done goofy stuff like that!!

Don't you just hate when that or something just a goofy happens. Kinda like takes the whole "I'm cool on my Bike" kinda thing right out of you!
I had a bee fly into my nose once...that wasn't pretty either!

This thread makes me laugh....laugh at myself.

I've never left my keys in the bag (that day may certainly come), but I have done the audiogooroo thang......numerous times.
