Kickstand worn out - what?
Thanks for the input - I'll be checking the rest of these wear areas tomorrow. KenBob mentioned several.
Working and riding alot this year, I have to admit some of these maintenance details have been overlooked. Kickin' myself a bit for getting lazy, and it's dangerous.

Kickstand worn out - what?
I sprayed some WD-40 on the pivot and that made a huge difference in movement. Decided to take it apart and lube with moly grease. Just another thing to add to the regular maintenance list. After taking the kickstand off and lubing and re-installing, I wondered what a dealer would charge to "correctly" lube the pivot.

I have been meaning to lube mine. That is something I will have to accomplish tomorrow.

Kickstand worn out - what?
On a side note, I use the right passenger foot rest to support my helmet as it is locked to the rear crash guard. Removed the foot rest and found wear on the rearward contact area from folding up and down. lubed the contact points and pivot pin. Moves almost too easy now. Plan to lube the left side as well along with the fronts. Something to think about.

When lubing the stand, it's a good time to lube the shifter bell cranks too. These are exposed, but pretty well hidden.
