Turn off, turn on your Nomad without your key.....
I was riding with Pirateer, coon and others this afternoon. While we were gearing up to leave, I reached into my pocket for my key to the bike when Pirateer came up and showed me a way to turn off my Nomad and then turn the ignition back on without the key.
After using your key to turn your ignition on, if you want to turn it off at a stop, turn the ignition knob slowly to the left until the ignition cuts off. This way the knob doesn't go all the way to the left and lock. Then when your ready to go, slightly turn the knob to the right and the ignition will come back on. All of this without getting your key out of your pocket all the time. The only draw back is you probably want to lock your knob all the way to the left when you stop for a while like at a restaurant, store, etc. Thanks to Pirateer for this suggestion. I think he got it from Cowboy originally. There may be some of you that have already been doing this, but I never knew that the Nomad ignition could be slightly turned left and cut off the electronics. Trip
