I did about 800 in 11 hours last year. I am not itching to do that again without a seat upgrade.

Ha ha ha.. Just giving you a hard time. I rode down to Florida a few years ago and have been wanting to ride to the northeast ever since. My mother-in-law asked my wife to drive with her Pittsburgh, and my wife agreed, so it seemed like a prime time to take off for a few weeks and head the same direction. I actually met up with them several times throughout the trip.

Man, those stats really put it into perspective, don't they. That's a lot of traveling! Thanks for keeping us updated throughout your trip. It was fun following you on here.

In qualitative terms, what was the most exciting part of your trip, the best roads that you didn't feel like stopping or other things you'll tell about to your grand kids? Any recommendations for those of us who might take their Nomads to the places you traveled? You're setting the bar high for long-distance riding, keep on keeping on.

There were two days that I really pushed the miles getting close to an IB. Going through southern Wyoming and going through Kansas. Neither one of those days did I see much reason to stop and they were at the beginning and end of my trip, so my ambition was high. I had another two other days that were close to 500, but the majority of the trip were reasonable 250-400 days.

Looking forward to reading your blog, thanks! [I just noticed in your signature, you do have an IB! Congrats...]
