07 nomad fuel pump

First I want to say I have tried to use the search bar and when I click it, it just disappears.
Anyway my bike will give me problems starting. I go somewhere and when I try to start it again it takes 3-4 on off cycles to get it to fire. I have new plugs, battery, oil. My last resort is the fuel pump. Can I rebuild it? I took it out to check fuel filters but it looks sell contained.

Its rebuildable, one of our members has a article about it.....
heres a kit with pump and all.....just be sure and order a gasket, too....

The problem your describing could also be other things.....

Does 07 have filter in the tank like the 02??
Could be plugged filter.

When you turn the key on do you hear the pump run for a couple seconds?

My 05. every now and then when I turn the key the fuel pump doest come on. After a few key turns it comes on. Never been more than a few minutes before it starts. Had the switch replaced and it still happens. Yesterday was the first time it didnt start again. Had to get it towed home.

Check the connectors to the pump under the gas tank. They could be corroded and need a cleaning.

If not remove the pump and check the connectors of the pump itself.

The DFI relay goes bad. I replaced mine with after market after one after second failure.

Just replaced my 05 Nomad fuel pump. I could hear the pump trying to prime, but the sound didn't seem quite right. Engine cranking fine, but not firing. Checked plugs and they were dry. FI light on and when I checked the LED's I had a fault code 45 Fuel Pump. Are you getting a fault code ??
