She sure is a big gorgeous girl. For a second bike though, to share the stable with the Vaq, I'd like to buy that new Indian Scout.

Black looks not bad, the 2 tone seems to look more squarish for some reason.

I got a chance to see a couple of these in person this week and I have softened my criticism of the design. In person it does not look as chopped up as my first impression looking at it online.

Still not my cup of tea but the design is more consistent than originally thought.

Well, I did a demo ride last evening on the new Indian Roadmaster.
I absolutely love the styling on the Chieftain and the Roadmaster has the same styling for the basic bike. Indian designers have been quoted as saying they designed the Roadmaster first and then stripped it to make the Chieftain and that does make perfect sense. I do NOT like the styling of the hard lowers or the trunk, I think they look bloated and clunky. The seat is VERY nice and plush and it is also heated, a must in this climate for early spring and late fall riding. The seat on the Roadmaster does move the rider back 1-2 inches and that is appreciated by us large guys.
The power is the same as the Chieftain and has a lot of torque up to about 3800 rpm's where it starts to fall off.
The information window is still almost impossible to see in the daylight but the stereo is kick ass.
All in all, I was REALLY happy to get back on my Cross Country Tour which I feel is a better motorcycle and a whole lot less expensive.

Strong statement. I want to love the Indian even though I haven't ridden one yet. I want to love the styling but have some similar hesitations as you about a couple of the esthetics, which is a shame because the things I like I REALLY LIKE. I'll be keeping my eye on all the models for sure.

I want to love the Indian Roadmaster also. I love the retro styling and some of the features are VERY nice, but I cannot bring myself to buy a bike that I am almost certain to be disappointed with. With that said I still want an Indian, what is wrong with me?
