I would not fly to Phoenix to buy a Harley and there is 3 inches of snow here. The ride back would be tough (g).
In the 90's I was buying bikes and shipping them to the U.K. Not much profit when all was said and done. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Wow, I wonder how long before a dealer picks it up?

Price
I still like my deal better. 2012 VOYAGER for 16,800. Craigslist is full of Harleys around here (northern il. & southern wi.) Would make a nice ride if that`s what your looking for.

The limited, at that price, is a much better value than the voyager.

Not to me. I will take my Voyager for comfort anyday over that.

To each his own, but from a standpoint of quality, features and ride, I think the Limited is a better bike. I have ridden the ultra and voyager. The problem with the voyager is that it is made to a price point in terms of fit and finish. Mechanically, I think the Kawasaki is as as reliable as anything, but the 96" HD I rode felt about the same in power as the Voyager with the 1700. I would think based on reports that the 103 pulls better than the 1700. Anyway, it doesn't really matter as I don't own either, but if I had 18K to spend and had the choice of that Limited and a Voyager, the HD would get my money.

If I had the money, I would.

Ponch,
Truth is you have one of the better rides out there with your BMW. I gave up my ST1300 to ride a cruiser because of upper back issues. I actualy bought the ST1300 because my back was agrivated by the cruiser position and thought the upright riding position would help. Then before getting rid of the cruiser, I tried the drivers backrest and problem solved. I do miss the ST though. Well that`s enough for me today. Good thing we all have different taste.

My guess is risers may have helped with the ST. I have a bad neck and the risers made a difference. If I had to do it again, I may have gotten the GSA instead, but the RT comes with panniers and cruise control, which the GSA doesn't and you can't add cruise control. The new GS that is coming out has cruise control, and I can't wait to see if they have a GSA version. Too bad about the ST. It's a good bike.

That Ultra is a beautiful bike. I got my 2012 Voyager ABS out the door under $16,000, but if I would have run into this deal first... I don't know...
