My journey home
We made it to Blanding Utah. Stopped for a little while in Moab and walked around town. It was hot, but not scorching hot like Mesquite. We are on a high plateau, I'd guess close to 5000', so it should be cool in the morning when we start the last segment of the trip...
THE RIDE TO <s>HELL</s>, ER...PHOENIX. Actually, I think I have it figured out pretty good. Once we get to Flagstaff, we are purposely going to avoid I-17 and the descent into HELL, and taking a mountain route that should be 10-15 degrees cooler than Phoenix. Only the last 50-60 miles should be unbearably hot. We'll see.
