Odd Sound Makes Bike Unrideable

Hi All,

I have a noise in my driveline when I let off the throttle that it a very loud whining sound. Similiar to being in too low of a gear for the speed you're moving at. It doesn't matter if I'm in gear or neutral. The sound is so loud it makes the bike unrideable, and I'm at a crossroads as what to do. Anybody ever come across this or have a clue as to what it might be?
