Selling the 1600 Nomad
I wanted more of a touring bike and have been looking hard at Gold Wings the past few months. However, I found a great deal on a BMW K1200LT and have decided to buy it. I put the deposit down yesterday and pick it up Monday. If you are tall and have never driven a BMW, I highly recommend it. It handles like a dream and is much taller then a Gold Wing and better built (IMHO). The seats and grips are heated, windshield is electronically adjustable from a point at my collar bone to above my head, other electronics outstanding, and it is built by a bunch of 6'4" Germans who understand us Nordic riders. The seats are both adjustable up and back depending on your inseam. The riding style is more upright then a cruiser, but I found the position and the OEM seats very comfortable.
I'll let you know how it works out........ ![]() Login or Register to Remove Ads |
