I find it odd also... Other writings from him, he states the Sportster is the best bike built. He mostly rants about how its motor is superior to the motors HD uses on its tourers.

Much of any glory he might have had in his rants on HD tourers was spoiled when HD made changes to those things he bitched about.

Maybe he was right about his complaints, because HD made the changes he thought they should.
