Keeping cool.

Hey all. Keeping cool and I don't mean visually!

The heat down here is oppressing during the spring, summer and fall. The rest of the country is under massive heat this summer as well.
This is what we do. Take it for what it's worth, just a recommendation.
Get out early in the am while it is a little cooler.
Wear a white shirt with long sleeves. I have one of the vented fishing shirts and it is GREAT. And a little powder keeps ya drier too.
Drop your windshield down to its lowest spot. Gets a little more breeze flowing.
Vented helmets are great for keeping the noggin cool.
Hydrate yourself. I drink LOTS of water and Gatorade.
I keep some face wipes in the bags to get rid of the sweat. NOT baby wipes; they can have oils,
I stop often when it's really hot, 75 - 100 miles at a store to have water and cool off.

Just be smart and your mind is clearer and the trip will be better and safer.
