New from Northern Virginia

Just a quick intro, my name is Tom and I'm in Manassas, Virginia. I recently bought a 2006 Nomad in black with about 40k miles on it, sort of specifically for a November ride to Florida.

I do escort for an organization called Ride2Recovery which runs multi-day bicycle rides for wounded veterans. My wife and I both have 750 Shadow Aeros, and she's not comfortable with the distance. I told her no way we were riding a 750 two-up to Florida, she'd have to ride her own or buy me a bigger bike.

So the Nomad will be the road bike, I plan to continue racking the miles up on my Aero. Hard to not ride the beast all the time though!

I hope I can learn enough about the Nomad to become a contributing member of the forum. Until then, I'll be lurking!
