NICE! Chucksters Air Intake System

I got from Chuckster the Dual Plate System (using Stock "Dog Bowl" Cover) and a K &N filter # E-3402 off Ebay.
I decided to do the Chuckster stock look intake mod today and when I was done I did not like the look. ??? to big :-/ stuck out to far :( and I could not get the base plate to install flush as the elbow and crank case vent tube hit the plastic crossover tube :'( (Just my opinion Chuckster nothing wrong with your parts)

So I started all over and removed everything on both sides and the crossover tube. And this is what I came up with




Spent an hour sanding and polishing Chucksters cover plate, not real shiny yet as I only had 600 grit sandpaper



I used silicone and glued the K&N to the cover plate to keep it centered



Not sure if I will keep this nekkid ???

What do you think Chuckster, maybe you could offer the cover plates chromed or polished to close to chrome look?

I like the spartan look, it tucks in nicely and there is lots of clearance for my leg. With the chrome dog bowl you have to raise the back of the fuel tank with the spacers Chuckster provides with his kit and it stuck out just a little more than stock. Over all I am pleased with Chucksters dual plate kit even if I didn't follow his instructions to the letter
