ran over dog

a local group of riders were out 2 weekends ago and one of the riders in the middle of the pack ran over a midsize dog that just ran out onto the road . the rider ahead saw the dog coming and tried to signal the guys behind but it all happened too fast .
tha bike and rider took a bad tumble ...rider was scrapped and bruised but ok and the bike(2004 harley) was a total wreck.
it sent the local riders on a fact finding mission on animal whistles on vehicles and the concensus by the so called specialists!!!! is that they don't work after conducting tests on deer, moose, dogs etc in captivity.....seems like the animals had no reaction at all to the whistles....who knows
