Oil change panic

I just changed oil on 08 1600.this was my first go with oil and
have about 1000 miles.Im second owner.I pulled the oil screen and found some thin rubber gasket like material on screen. one
was almost a inch long again very thin and about a 1/8th wide.
the other similar stuff was small and I wouldnt say allot of it. I saw nothing else or any kind of metal. Question is what might it be and should I give it any further thought. It all went back together fine thanks
