HJC IS16 Helmet

Bought a new helmet. HJC IS16. For those in the market, give it a look. Reasonable price ($180) so not bottom of the price scale, but also not in the high end, has great vents, has a fabric under the chin to stop wind noise, and the big seller is a drop down sun shield that pops back out of the way with the touch of a button.

I think it will be great on winding roads at dusk and dawn or times on the freeway when the sun is straight ahead.

After trying a couple on I was also amazed at how much the padding in the old helmet had loosened up during 80,000 miles. Made me kind of glad the latch broke. It was time for a new one!
