Happy New Year!

Let me be the first to say Happy New Year to all the NW Region KawaNOW Members. We have some new ones who joined us in recent months and I hope in time they will become more active within our group.

2009 was great year for me with the ride to Custer, SD for the first KawaNOW National Rally being one of the highlights for sure. I had the pleasure this past year to meet and ride with some of the new members, as well as some of the more established ones, but there are still others whom I have not had the pleasure. My most recent meeting was with Duffy Stunes of Burlington, WA. Just after Christmas we bundled up for a chilly meet and greet, and it was great to finally put a face to the name. What a great guy!

2010 promises to be an awesome year for us. As you know, we have our first NW Regional Rally planned for Kalispell, MT in early August. Now is definitely the time to make your travel plans/reservations if you plan on attending. All the info can be found on the NW Regional Rally Page....

If you would like to join me on my extended route to Kalispell (via Banff, AB), the more the merrier. Drop me a PM and I will email you the itinerary if I haven't already. I hope as many of you as possible can get away for what will be a great gathering of new friends, great rides, and enjoy everything that KawaNOW is all about!

I also plan to put together a couple local rides that I hope will draw some interest. I am currently planning a three day ride up to Vancouver Island, BC that I believe will be one of the highlights for 2010 as well. I will post more info about that when things firm up as far as dates and hotel info. Vancouver Island is one of the most scenic venues one can possibly ride, with very little traffic once out of the main population centers.

The board here has been pretty quiet lately, but with the New Year hope springs eternal. I'm sure we will all be anxious to put some more miles behind us once spring arrives and winter becomes a distant memory! I hope your winter Mods are going well and look forward to what I hope to be a great year for us all in 2010... :)!

Best Wishes....Kris
