Update on my manager

My manager, 16 year old Wade, came to workouts tonight! He is still very weak and has trouble walking (he always has to hold onto someone when he walks), but his spirit is strong.

Before he walked into the weight room full of players, I told them we had a special guest with us and they all yelled out his name when he walked through the door. All the guys stopped lifting, went over and shook his hand or gave him a sweaty hug. His smile could have lighted up the whole east coast.

I had to bust his chops though because he had a Yankees shirt. I went to the coaches' office and got one of our staff shirts and gave it to him, telling him I didn't want any stinking Yankee stuff in my weight room. He laughed and said he had to wear it cause his grandma gave it to him.

He stayed for about 20 minutes. Before he left I took him aside and told him we needed him back full strength in 3 weeks for the start of practice. He told me he was working hard to get back his strength and he couldn't wait to be back with us full time.

His mother told me that the doctors are still worried about him getting back to full strength but that they didn't find anything abnormal on the last set of tests he had run.

Wade still needs prayer for a full recovery. She wanted me to thank all of you for your prayers. Yes, when I visited Wade two weeks ago, I told her that a bunch of my biker buddies where praying for Wade and the doctors.
