J&M CB advice (Update) fix found!!

I finally started to install my J&M CB that I bought from another member here this winter. It came with an adapter plate for Kawasaki but the bottom of the radio housing sits too close to the headlight dimmer switch for me to get my fat thumb in there. I put a couple of washers under the adapter plate and that helped a little with clearance but is still snug with my summer gloves on and will never work with my gauntlet gloves.

I'm sure that some of you have these installed and I'm wondering if any of you have this problem and how you may have solved it.

Also, I need to find an antenna bracket or have one made. Any ideas there would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bud (Idaho)
