REVISED Windshield lay back

When BD and Idaho speak, LISTEN. I rechecked the clearance between the OEM windshield brackets and the tank. They didn't touch, but I only had .020 clearance, a matchbook cover. Not a comfortable margin. I made a new set of brackets with the bolt holes 9/16" on center instead of 3/4". Now I've got .100 clearance, but I ran into another problem. The OEM windshield bolt heads were too big. I had 4 bolts with smaller heads and they worked great. Thanks for all the input , saved me some scratched paint and maybe a dent. We should all go to work for Ma Kaw R&D.
