Brighter Headlight bulb?

I was doing a group ride today, and the ride leader said she couldn't see my headlight well (I had it on low beam).

On my old Connie, I replaced the bulb with an 80/100 bulb. I have a few left (H4, that's what the Nomad uses, right?). Will these go on a Nomad with little or no change? (I.e. heat issues, electrical issues, etc.?)

Thanks

yeah probably you can run those bulbs, and or run hi beam in day time. I do, and I run (2) 55 watts halogen passing lamps too.

One of these days I plan to buy a snowmobile bulb that has hi's as 110 watts. I forget what the low beam is..

I see a lot of riders running low beam in the day time and don't think it is right. When my son was first riding some years back I told him to put on the hi's because i couldn't see him, I told him again, and then I yelled at him and said always on hi's in day time, and now he does..

So I am not very surprised to hear the leader couldn't see you. The way the lamps are, the light on low beam heads down and not out. Many lamps have a hard edge of light too.. Ever notice that?

I use a Wagner 1210/H4. Have it adjusted so that the low (80W) beam does not blind oncoming traffic. Never get "flashed". High beam is amazing. Can we say "DAYLIGHT"? Go for it.

I run the HiBeam and 55 drivers all the time, I've never been flashed and feel alot more comfortable people can see me. I think people have come to expect bikes to run with lights on so are probably more conciderate about the brighter lights? -

I also run the Wagner BP1210/H4 on my headlight.
Also run 2 55watt bulbs in my lightbar and it's on a seperate relayed circuit.
I run on high beam during the day and most of the time at night unless I'm getting flashed while on a two lane highway. When I get flashed while riding on a two lane highway....I do understand as this light set up on my bike is really bright....possibly blinding.....LOL.

I've used this set up on this bike and also my previous 900....never been any problem with heat...melting...wiring...fuses....nothing.
Only super bright lighting at nite and great visability to others in daytime.

I run the 80/100 from Napa and have no issue's what so ever and it does produce more light than the stock one.

I just have a "mild" upgrade of the stock bulb to a Sylvania Silverstar H4-ST. A bit brighter than the original. Not sure what's in the lightbar, came with the scoot.
