Washing your bike leads to bad weather
Ok, looked the bike over today and it had 10 layers of bugs across the front end. Decided to wash the girl. About 3 hours later we had a massive wind storm roll thru. Wind gusts were over 70 and probably over 80 for 15 to 20 minutes. At one time I would have sworn it was a tornado.
This was the third time to wash the bike this year. The first time a hail storm that afternoon. The next time a hail storm the next morning. Is this coincidence????? I think the old girl will go dirty the rest of the year. If this streak keeps up the next time might just be a tornado. ::)

Washing your bike leads to bad weather
I definitely think that washing the bike causes changes in the weather. Everytime I shine mine up, it ends up raining or storming. If it was a guarantee of making it rain, I'd wash it everyday, as we need the moisture.

No I think this is normal protocall. I only wash mine while its raining, saves on water too.

The washing does play a factor in the weather however it seconds to one's bike's being in the shop......
Mine has been out of commission for 5 days thus we have had 5 of the most beautiful riding days this summer, moderately warm temps, not a cloud in the sky, perfect weather. Is bike withdrawal an affirmative defense for nailing a parts rep for ordering the wrong part??? SIGH.....

Washing the bike = Rain coming
Watering the yard = Rain coming

Watering yard does not mean rain here. Been watering for weeks and haven't seen a decent rain in more than a month. Washing the bike means hail or extremely high winds and No rain.

We don't get a lot of rain here, but a clean bike does seem to attract bird poop.
