To TPMS or not to TPMS...
Greetings
Contemplating adding TPMS to the list of gauges and dash distractions. Tire Pressure is one of the things I monitor closely, seems like this would be way handy to know if a tire needed a bump of air. Thoughts? Who has one, which one, why and do you find it (TPMS) useful? Thanks for your thoughts, Ride safe, Smokier

I have that with my Garmin Zumo 595 GPS. It works great and will come up with a warning if the pressure drops below the minimum you set for each tire. I can also go directly go to the app and see what the current pressure is and see a rolling graph of the past pressure. One hitch is that once in a while it comes up and says it has lost communication to the rear wheel. That will only last for a few minutes and is caused by the tour pack and saddle bags blocking the signal from the rear tire.
I always use the system for checking the tire pressure instead of a gauge.

I paid around $100 for a "Steelmate" brand TPMS through AliExpress. It's been fantastic, and saved my butt one morning when it alerted me to a slow leak from a nail I'd picked up the previous day while on a tour. It's accurate, cycles through front and rear readings constantly, monitors temperature, and sounds an alarm if there's any sudden loss of pressure. I've mounted the receiving unit up on the dash, rather than the bars.
I found it was imperative to mount the sensors on a tee fitting, so that I can add air without disturbing them.

I have been using Tiregard for years. I have the version with the key fob version and need to upgrade to a more modern system that uses the phone and Bluetooth. I can't hear any alarms in my full face helmet. I also plan to get tee valve stems like Peg mentioned next time I change tires. So much more convenient for adjusting the pressure as needed and it allows you to verify the accuracy of the sensors with another gauge without having to take the sensors off.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I *thought* a dash display/keyfob was what I wanted. But the majority of you are saying BLUETOOTH to PHONE and constant (REAL TIME). Will review all your suggested brands, thanks for the input.
