Voyager rear speaker adapters
I've searched and don't see anything related, so...
Doing stereo, amp and speaker upgrade on 2011 Voyager with 4 speaker set-up. I've ordered the adapters for the front speakers to accommodate 6.5". For the rear pods, no one seems to make an adapter to go up to 6.5". Has anyone tried this, and what did you use? I did find some adapters from JL Audio that MIGHT work, but won't be here til next week.

I don’t own a voyager but if I were a betting man I would say there is no way a 6.5” speaker will fit in those little rear pods.

Engineered Adapters makes adapters for the front but not the rear pods.
You're right, Alwhite00 they won't. At least not all the way flush. I tried it yesterday just to see how far they'd go in. Maybe different speakers designs will fit further in. I got Rockford Fosgate RM0652B and they go most of the way in. I got the front ones mounted today with the Engineered Adapters, and they sound great. Found some HD adapters that allow a 6.5" speaker to fit a hole for a 5.25". They look to be 1/2 to 1" wide. We will see and report in with results.

Nobody makes any. If you have a passenger, I would watch trying to even do this. The stock speakers are already close to their hips. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

I like the grills in the Rockfords better, but the overall goal is better and more sound.

Sent the Rockfords back and got Kicker 43CSC654 (CS65) and they fit the pods. I'll try to get pics on here, not sure how.

Was this done with just the stock head unit? How is the sound?
Exactly what model number is being used? Thanks. |

I have the Kicker CS67 speakers, 6 3/4", in the fairing with Randy's adapters and the are amazing compared to stock. Have stock radio and a Clarion amp.

I have the Kicker 5.25” Part #10PS52504 and I had to shave some material off the inside of the front pods to get them to seat properly and I will have to do the same for the rear pods. See my thread for details. Trying to figure out how those went in without and major issues. I’m still trying to decide on an amp.

I'm using the stock head unit and the Alpine amp....for now. Hoping to have it changed this week to the Kenwood head unit and Rockford Fosgate 400 watt amp. The speakers sound great, a big improvement over the Polk db521's I was using.
Installed: Kicker 43CSC654 speakers (4) with Enfineered Adapters in front fairing To be installed: Kenwood KMR-M318BT Rockford Fosgate PM400X4 PAC- SWI to retain handle bar controls I'm just hoping there's enough room under that fairing for that amp. It's bigger than the Alpine.

Talking with the guy at the shop, he doesn't believe the Rockford amp will fit. Suggested the JL Audio amp, so I got that and returned the Rockford. Install should happen this coming week. The JL was $100 less, which is good news!
