tint repair on my clearview windscreen

Just wondering if any clearview owners have had an issue with their screens.
On my 15 VV, I noticed that around the screws, the black tint has worn.
All screws are tight and thought maybe vibration loosed and therefore scratched the film.
Nope....
So can I just remove the old tint and get a new one?
Anyone ever done it?

I've never heard of this before I have had 2 clearview's and no problems with the tint I thought it was molded into the shield during the molding process.

I would call Clearview if I was you.

I scratched mine with my EZ-Pass. I just hit the inside of it with a Sharpie. Covers it pretty decently. Toss the clearview owner an email, he is a really cool and helpful guy he might have a better idea.

And let us know what he says. :)

What Bob said.
I'm on my 3rd Clearview with the light grey tint, no problems with any of them. I thought it was molded into the shield as well.

I think the OP is talking about (and I am for sure talking about) the really dark band along the bottom, maybe 3 or 4 inches tall. Mine is clear above, perhaps only the clear ones have that. It is a film on the inside.

To be clear, I am referring to the black band at the bottom. About the same size as what our OEM screen was when we bought.
It seems the area around the bolts have shifted or looks scratched.
I did get a response from clearview and they will get back to me. I had mine ordered by my dealer here in Ontario and think will have to go through them to get answers done.

Clearview will answer you directly. He is a good dude, it's a small operation. I had questions once, he gave me his cell number to call him because the answer was hard to explain via email.
