Just want to say Hey to all of you out there. Just purchased a second Nomad, an 02 to keep in my house in upstate NY. Have an 00 in Florida. Both happen to be set up the same with PC, Vance and Hines and K & N. I looked at all the rest and always came back to my Nomad.

Trip,
I have to say that your design and enthusiasm is top notch. You seem to have an eye for the "detail" in what you do. That speaks voumes to what the site will become. I took notice with TXVROC forum and am so proud of what you guys have done. I am proud to be a part of this group and only hope that I can contribute something useful. Hope to meet everyone at some point, maybe Eureka Springs! I am counting down the days! Reservations have been made for some time. :) |

Thanks Trip for this site. When I traded my 750 in I was a little concerned about the loss of expert technical advice and the nice folks on the VN750 site. The site was awesome and that group helped me with anything I could possibly imagine regarding my 750. My name on that site was Popsicle - old family nickname.
Anyway, I was really happy to find your site - thanks to Gadget's site. I know the membership will continue to grow; probably even exceeding your expectations. Good job. Oh yeah - I hope to learn as much in time to maybe make it to your spotlight page. :) |

blowndodge, dip and legend82,
I really appreciate your comments. Thanks for becoming a part of Kawanow and contributing. And blowndodge thanks for taking a look at my Kawasaki page. It represents over 6 years of documented trips as well as videos.

zoom45,
Eureka Springs is a town in Northwestern Arkansas that is home to just about every motorcycle group get-together in the US. Well, maybe not all, but that's close. Northern Arkansas is a mecca for good roads to ride and Eureka Springs sits right in the middle. If you get a chance, ride to Eureka Springs.

:)Hey Trip! As mentioned in a couple previous postings I'm the typical returning mid-lifer and really appreciate the great repository of information!!!
I used to be the web site administrator for a local gun club in Indiana with about 100 active members so I know it's a LOT of work! Great job dude! |

Hey thanks roosed. Actually, the forum is no bother, but the website is going to be a challenge for a while. But, I knew that going in, so it's no problem.
If you guys have any additional ideas for the website, feel free to suggest away.

Hello, all Fellow Nomad Riders. I just registered to this forum after locating it on Gadget's Page. What a great forum. I hope to here from all you great people out there. I'll be checking in on a daily basis just to see whats going on and may put my .02 cents in.
By the way, I Ride a 04 Nomad. bought it new in June of 04 & have put apprx. 34000 on the girl so far and haven't done a thing mechanically to her except change the oil/filter and put new treads on. We just returned from a 1700 mile road trip thru the Cumberland & Smokies Mountains (Ar., Mo. Tn., NC., VA., & nipped KY.) on July 9th. Ya'll have a Safe day and stay safe.... Jim

Hey Jim,
I too ride an '04 nomad. I found the Gadget page and the wife hates it already. I have done a few of the mods from the page and the one that I would recemend is the ignition switch relocation to the left side cover. But When I did it I found a way that you DON"T have to cut any wires and you can save your tool storage space as well. John in Colorado 40_shooter @msn.com :) |
