Warning/Indicator lights
Not sure if I have a issue or not but thought I would ask. On the display readout above the bars for the fuel gauge it says that after you turn the key on but have not started the bike, the following come on briefly then should go out.
Coolant/Temperature Indicator FI Indicator Fuel Indicator The oil stays on until bike is cranked and oil pressure is high enough. I notice the oil stays on until bike is cranked as it says but the fuel one stays on and doesnt go out. It stays on even after bike is cranked and tank is full of fuel. Also the warning light that is red when you first turn key, is it suppose to stay red until bike is cranked. I thought mine use to go out after a few seconds to even before cranking bike. thanks Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Warning/Indicator lights

On my 1600 the icons in the digital display act exactly as you describe. The fuel icon stays on all the time to indicate the bars are the fuel gauge. The red warning light does stay on until the engine cranks over, while the low fuel light only stays lit while the speedo needle does it`s little cycle. So, I would say, you don`t have a issue.
