Fantastic book!

I just finished reading a very inspiring book titled "An Eagle Named Freedom". The book tells the true story of a Sarvey Wildlife Center volunteer named Jeff Guidry and the young badly injured bald eagle he cared for at the center for the last 12 years. Jeff was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkins lymphoma and Freedom was a big part of his becoming cancer free. Kris, you may know of this wildlife rehab center located outside of Seatle. I purchased my copy online at Amazon.com. Best book I've ever read.

Fantastic book!

I'm unaware of the rehab place of which you speak...but it sounds like a very inspiring story! Since we're talking best book you've ever read....I'm gonna have to toss in my pick. Keep in mind it might be one of the only two books I have read in many years.... ;).....but I could not put it down. Many of you have probably already read it, but if not....it is a fantastic read!

"Undaunted Courage" by Stephen Ambrose, chronicles the entire "Corps of Discovery" journey by Lewis and Clark as they headed into the wild northwestern wilderness and back in their exploration of the Louisiana Purchase. I guarantee you there is no man alive today who could hang with that crew! I have ridden a good portion of their route on my Nomad and am always wondering what things must have looked like back then...

Fantastic book!

Not to hijack Mitch if you get a chance also, read the book Decision Point by GW Bush. I'm half way through it and it give you a completely different perspective of "W" I'll look for your book on Kindle...

Fantastic book!

I have W's book here Brad but just haven't started on it yet. I'll bring it to work next weekend for my 4 nights. Kris, I'd bet that is a good one. I like the old history as such. I'll have to put in another order at Amazon. I was the same with "An Eagle Named Freedom" in not being able to put it down. I've attached the Sarvey link. In the Gallery section you will find Freedom and Jeff.

Fantastic book!

Don't know if any of you have read Walk Across America but it was a very inspiring read. I don't remember the guys name but he and his dog start the journey. There were actually two books about it and I read them both. Very interesting books.

Fantastic book!

I'm pretty much a fiction guy. Vince Flynn and Brad Thor are my current favorites since Clancy quit.
