California emissions?

I have a California emissions bike and I have put the Chuckster 2 plate intake with K&N filter.
I have left the left side(old filter) on for now. I plan to do the cam chain extenders and thought that I would remove the crossover tube from the old filter between the V.
What do i do with the canister and the tube that goes to the crossover piece?

You can remove the crossover piece, and leave the cannister or remove it as well. plug any open lines you disconnect from the cannister.

Keep all the stuff you took off to sell to a CA resident when it comes time to SMOG motorcycles in the state of over regulation.

You can cut the cross over on the left side apx 5/8ths inch behind the flange. If done well you could one day re-install it and plastic weld the flange back on.

On the tank at right rear is a red tape and blue tape hose tubing.
The blue tubing becomes the fuel tank drain, the same as a non cali bike. The red tubing is capped off air tight.

Removing the carbon canister gets rid of the white marked and green marked tubings, with the cross over pipe.
