I see where those "peace loving Muslims" ( God I just love it when the politicians use that oxymoron) are all up in arms about a church in Florida planning on burning the quran on 9/11. Of course all the liberals are jumping on the bandwagon, too.

Where was the out cry on this?

Frankly, Dave - I couldn't care less if the pastor in Florida wanted to burn live Muslims. However, I don't think it's a good idea for him to burn the Quran if it could bring harm to US military personnel or Americans in general.

Regardless of how I feel about Muslims, or any other religious group and/or culture for that matter, I don't think it's acceptable to burn or otherwise disrespect the Koran. That goes for any faith based text. It's ignorant, hateful and quite frankly there's enough ignorance and hate in the world already. Also, that rhetoric about "it will hurt the military and Americans"... Fear mongering Bull$hi+.

The quran brought us to this place we are, already. They have every intention of doing the Christians in. They have no use for us. They are a blood minded people, with no concerns for peace. They have pr oven themselves repeatedly. They thrive on our western/christian ignorance. They will never stop. And we would be foolish to think otherwise. There are bad apples in every society and religion. That does not mean the kind hearted ones can be picked out, and you wouldn't have to worry about them. They will one day all do the same thing. I'm fed up hearing this. If Mr. Jones wants to burn Koran's, let him, I don't care. His 15 minutes are up. I would think his life is more at risk than well armed and prepared soldiers.

It's not the armed and prepared soldiers that will experience anything different, and I doubt they are any more scared of the ragheads today than they were yesterday. It is the REMFs that will feel the "wrath" of the muslims. Also, Christian travelers and other civilians are the ones who need to worry. The ragheads want to keep their virgins waiting, they would much rather attack an unarmed civilian than an armed and prepared soldier. The word "chickensh*t" comes to mind.

So, at least IMHO our beloved, and honorable leaders were asking the good Pastor for forbearance with those unarmed folk in mind but didn't want to cause a public panic by saying so.

Where the harm will come to the military is from suicide bombers and such. Doing cowardly acts against the military and you just can't always be prepared for those type situations. Burning the Koran won't accomplish anything. Where is the good going to come from that? If they want to burn the extremist that is fine with me. That would do more good than burning a book. Just my thought.
