=For the new guys on the block... and anyone else.

Just in case you haven't looked around and noticed, KawaNOW has experienced an influx of new members in the last 6 months or so. We are now up to 1,458 members and still climbing.

So, with this batch of new members, I wanted to be sure and mention that there are no bullies here on this forum. Feel free to post any messages or ask any questions as long as they are sincere and non-offensive.

Sometimes it looks like the foum has a bully or two, but that's just some older members joking around. When KawaNOW first started, there was a nucleus of members that joked around on the forum constantly. To some it appeared to be bullying, but it was just our way of giving each other a hard time. We like to think of it as if we all were sitting around a table talking. Mixed in with discussion would be a little humor, right? So, that's the way we conduct things here on KawaNOW.

So, if you're new here and have seen a few messages from such members as BlownDodge, Todd, Waterman or SWB, don't pay any attention to their antics. We pride ourselves here at KawaNOW to having an open atmosphere and we like to kid around.

Most, if not all of the kidding is aimed at someone else and not you. So, feel free to ask any questions or become a part of any discussion.

Also, just as a suggestion, think about thickening your skin a little. Don't take things too seriously on this forum. Like I say, we do clown around. Sometimes to get the info you need, it might take some sincerity, honesty and an epiphany now and then.

Trip

There are very few people who ever post here that are malicious. This is a great group of people who don't have egos getting fed by putting others down in a serious way like I've seen on other boards. There are some other brand specific boards out there with some old guard members who think it's their job to slap anyone down who doesn't think like they do. This site has had a welcoming norm set at the beginning, and it's kept going that direction.

But as Trip said, some people like to jokingly push others buttons at times, and if you didn't know the history of the people, you might think it was serious.

So with all that said, if you ever see a post from BlownDodge that seems mocking or mean spirited, know that after typing it out, he went and finished ironing his shirt! That'll help take the edge off :)

And if Dan Lund is slow to reply to your posts, he isn't ignoring you, it's just that he is having another prolonged discussion at the local police station about whether Nomads or police cruisers are faster. ;)

Wow Grampaw Trip.....I'm surprised you had enough energy to "two-finger" that big of a message without having to take a nap or go pee at least 3 times

...and who is this SWB you speak of....I think they finally locked him up

waterman....he's hanging out at the gentelmen's club saying his name is Brad and he's from southern California... ;) ;) ;)

and Blowndodge.....well, he's probably down at the clinic again (sorry dude, your girls been talkin' again )

...just couldn't help but try to reinforce your point a little..........

Great group of folks on here ...... hope to get to know some of the new members as well as I have some of the ones that have been around here forever.

Also Trip forgot to mention that threads go off in weird directions sometimes before getting back on track. You can always 'speed scroll' past the weird stuff. ;)
