Voyager vs Electra Glide
I was surprised at the HP and torque ratings. They were close despite a 7 ci difference in displacement. I expected the Kawasaki to make more of both than it did, and it was slower too, despite having a marginally more power. Interestingly, the V2K makes about 30 more HP and 40 more ft lbs of torque.

That's about right, comparing a Harley that's been around forever to a brand new Voyager just off the assembly line. What you expect? Just don't give a sh*t about Harleys or some of the a**holes that own them. Other than that, I'm very patriotic. lol

When you consider a C14 has more torque, you have to wonder... Where the R&D $ go. They would have been better off increasing the C14 displacement by 100cc's and starting from that platform.

By the way, two of the three test riders for this test were women. Maybe they liked all those vibrations, rattles and shakes. I'm just sayin'. Jamie

Don't get me wrong. I love all bikes, even Harleys. They're good-looking bikes and I'd love to have one, if you give it to me. Just don't think they're worth all the hype and price.. Sure, the price you pay for a new one is probably close to the price you'll get when you sell or trade. But the reason for that isn't because of quality, worth or trustworthiness, (think I just invented a new word) but demand. Everyone wants one. But I didn't buy my Nomad intending on selling it. I got a lot for what I paid and don't think I could ever get my money's worth out of a Harley. Unless I was scared of getting beat up or just want to be part of a crowd or just fit in, which is not in my nature. Jamie
