Bruce Rossmeyer Died today

Saw on another forum where Bruce rossmeyer was killed today while on his way to sturgis. For those of you who don't know who he is, he is a Florida resident that owned quite a few harley dealerships, including the daytona harley which was always very active in bikeweek and biketoberfest. he also owned "Destination daytona" which is the largest harley dealership in the world. Even if you don't care for harleys destination daytona is pretty impressive as far as everything that is there.
Seems he was on his way to sturgis with 5 friends, they were passing a RV, he was the last one to pass it and I believe it moved over on him.

Headed up there myself with 5 uncles hope we have a fun but safe trip!! Never can be to careful. This is why I keep my oath to myself off never having no alcohol not one while driving the bike it is way to risky never know what can happen and have to be alert. I had a idiot passing a semi around a 90 degree curve the other day on 2 lane hwy where he was not supposed to be. Found out how fast I could go from 70 to 0 real quick! Kinda just have to sit there for a while and thank god for giving you a second chance and realizing how stupid and unalert drivers are.

Thanks for sharing tazfl. We're all brothers and sisters out here on our bikes and it's sad to hear about any accidents our family suffers, fatal or otherwise. I pray God will ease the pain his family is going through tonight,

I'll bet that was a major shock to his family and friends -- who probably always worried about him riding; but never thought anything bad would really happen given his years of experience riding.

We were fortunate to have had only one incident while KawaNOW was in Custer; and only having two incidents on the way home -- and to have everyone involved in these incidents to basically be okay when all was said and done.

If you're headed that direction... please think that everyone is out to hit you!!!! It may help protect you. While in the Custer area; we experienced a couple aggressive "cagers".

Sad to hear. But he hit a turning vehicle while trying to pass. Doesn't make it any better but it was not the car drivers fault.

Sympathy to his family. Seems another day doesn't go by that reminds us of the danger of what we enjoy. :-/

It's very sad to hear. I've talked to him a few times while at Destination Daytona, he was a nice guy and very approachable.

I just rode that road 2 wks. ago on my big trip. Saw the axle come off a car dolly in front of me & go through the windshield of an oncomming Forest Ranger truck while the other wheel went over my head. Guess none of us are immune and REALLY have to stay alert.
