The Quickest Totally Electric Motorcycle

Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!

This performance was all about showing off his product, the quickest electric motorcycle in the world. What are the odds of a catastrophe where several things must go wrong...all at the same time. Fortunately for the owner of the bike, he was only bruised up a bit and that sort of makes it funny. I encourage you to read the article below the video to get the summation of what was going on.

Here are some things to consider...

No helmet

Inexperienced

Bad location

Stuck throttle

All of the above resulted in a "OH CRAP!" event. "OH CRAP" is probably something along the line of what he was thinking just prior to hitting the car ???

I would hope that he would subsequently design and build some logic into the computer so that it will shut down the motor and slowly apply the brakes when the "operator" decides to do something that is "not logical" or, simply put, "stupid."

Final thought....

"Think" before you decide to show off your Nomad.

Ego, macho, once again got in the way of brains. Definitely gives a new meaning to the word dumb. He's lucky to be alive.

The guy is a lucky idiot. With the lack of experience and it being a experimental bike, the nut should have on some procetive gear (eg. maybe a helmet)

That bike is seriously quick. A Ferrari Enzo does 0-60 in 3.7 seconds, his bike does it in .9 seconds.

Riding a bike is a full concentration activity. Worrying about looking good for the camera, and not enough resources left for concentrating on riding, is a common theme showing up on youtube all the time.

Yeah, how can people figure it's safe to wind it out on the sidewalk? (Just like that idiot that almost smacked into the dumpster doing a wheelie) he did not think about the huge inertia of a big machine, and that huge rear slick smoking over or having adequate runout room. Also, guess what? When you start smoking the tire over it gets hot and soft and all of a sudden it wants to hook up. SURPRISE!

I'll bet he doesn't make that mistake again!

Just goes to prove the old saying,
" If you're going to be dumb then you gotta be tough"
I think that video set electric motorcycles back about 10 years.

I don't know...I think someone seeing just how powerful that bike was and how quickly it got away from him, that might actually inspire others to see what they can come up with. Those drag times are pretty impressive; the crew chief on the other hand...
