Well, then, let me ask it this way. Where do we meet up on the chosen date, especially if we live away from the Trace? Or do we just show up as the group passes through a particular area? How many days on the road? Any particular destination initially? Any plans to visit a particular establishment or location once we reach the turn around? Do we Picnic on the Trace or a restaurant off the route? Not to be a worry wart but there has to be some kind of info out there somewhere.

When I went a few weeks ago, it is a full 10 hour ride from Clinton, MS to the end at Franklin (where the big bridge is). There is actually about 5 more miles to the very end of the Trace but Franklin is a good place to spend the night. Franklin also has about any type place to eat. That 10 hours allows enough time to make 3 gas stops and a few quick bathroom breaks at the pull offs. A two day ride is pretty much up there and back. Not much time for side trips. If someone is going to start at Natchez they would need to allow a couple of more hours. I would say you need to be at least to Clinton by 6:30am to get the full ride in and find a hotel before dark. You could schedule times to meet up. I stop for gas at Kosciusko, Tupelo and Collinwood, TN.

Sas I would think you could meet up with Bobby and y'all could join up with Jamie some where around Jackson and I would meet you at Tupelo, I wanted to wait and see how many people wanted to go before making a lot of plans but I would like to consider some other route back I will leave the plans to Bobby are someone as I have never been North on the Trace.

Sorry guys, I can't make it. I'm working my normal 2 weekends and covering vacation for another coordinator on the third weekend. I would schedule vacation to make it but I only have Christmas week left in my bucket. My work schedule sucks for planning a weekend trip. On one of the off weekends, I work till 5:30 pm on the Friday so that kills leaving on that day. The other weekend, I'm off from the previous Tuesday to the Tuesday after the weekend trip. But as my luck goes, the trips never fall on that weekend.

I voted 13th and 14th. My daughter's birthday is the 20th and the last weekend is Thanksgiving weekend. But I could make any of those.
