Any Liberal's Explanation?

Can any one that is a Liberal; Democrat; or an Obama-loving citizen explain to me the reasoning behind yesterday's $400+ billion bill signed by Obama in private (I assume to avoid having to explain his signing of the bill).

I understand this bill had around 8,000 to 9,000 separate ear-marks put in by lawmakers to benefit various self-interests.

Wasn't it on September 22, 2008 that Obama stated on the campaign trail that he would (and I'll paraphrase); "I will go through each bill presented to me line-by-line; page-by-page to remove ear-marks".

Is it possible some voters voted for Obama based on this promise -- which is now a broken promise? Doesn't that make him a hypocrite?.. if not a liar? Certainly it makes him a "promise-breaker" I would think.

Wasn't he able to veto this bill?.. or at least red-line the ear-marks in the bill? Wasn't that what he promised he was going to do... you know "page-by-page"; "line-by-line"?

It would seem to me that Obama just missed a real opportunity to gain a lot of ground with Americans if only he would have stood his ground and vetoed the bill.

Is there is a Democrat out there that can explain to me why this wouldn't have been a good opportunity?... or is there going to be another "better" opportunity to veto a bill loaded with ear-marks coming in the future?

And when did "pork" get changed to "ear-marks"?.. oh never mind... I remember now... it is when the Democrats want to add pork to a bill they refer to it as "ear-marks". It has a much nicer "ring" to it.

Instead of vetoing the bill; Obama simply stated that the bill wasn't perfect, but better than nothing.

Now... here is the question? Isn't the abuse of the taxpayers' money by the Democrats the same as the CEO's abuse of shareholder's money that the DEMS have been barking about lately? Seems to me it is very similar.

I don't know about anyone else; but has anyone noticed how the Democrats rammed their Liberal Agenda bill down the throats of American taxpayers under the guise of a "emergency-stimulus-bill" by using fear-mongering tactics to scare Americans into submission?.. especially seniors? I say these acts are shameful... especially when it comes to seniors. No one should be scaring seniors to get their agenda's passed.

Well... I would like someone that is a Liberal or Democrat to provide some VALID explanations to these questions. And don't bother to respond with party-line rhetoric... we are hearing enough of that bullsh!t. Just provide some solid reasoning and facts as answers.

In addition; has anyone noticed how unpleased the Liberal media on CNBC and MSNBC are with Obama and the Dems?

While they have lightened it up a bit; go ahead and tune-in the morning editions. They have been "railing" on Obama and the Dems' actions since controlling Washington. I find it rather humorous.

I believe the Dems are biting-off far more than they can chew -- or possibly defend in a logical, ethical manner.

In the meantime; I'll just keep the pot on the stove and stir once in a while. We'll just see how this "stew" works out.
