World's worst newspaper story
This is from the Salt Lake Tribune. It is quite possibly the worst written news story I have ever seen. I remember better journalism from my junior high school newspaper. I am posting it in its entirety...
Motorcycle rider killed, passenger hurt The Salt Lake Tribune Article Last Updated: 08/15/2008 03:35:34 AM MDT The motorcycle crashed and caught on fire. The 28-year-old male rider became trapped and was killed. A 31-year-old male passenger suffered critical injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. The men's names and towns of residence were not released because their families had not been notified, Hoffman said. - Lindsay Whitehurst Me again, I'm not trying to make light of the fact a fellow rider lost his life, just pointing out the poor writing ability of a professional newspaper journalist.
